Who have you reproduced?

Results are what you accomplished. Reproduction is who can do the work without you.

Moses invested in Joshua for about forty years. When Moses died, Joshua was ready, and he led Israel into the land.

Joshua won the battles, divided the territory, and finished well. Scripture names no successor to him.

The book of Judges records what came next: a generation “who did not know the LORD or the work that he had done for Israel.” One generation later, the people were lost.

The idea. Sharing leadership is the fifth step of the LEADS Path. A leader can succeed at everything except the next leader, and the loss shows up after that leader is gone. Results are what you accomplished. Reproduction is who can do the work without you.

The action for this week. Write the names of people who lead today because you invested in them. Not people who worked for you. People you set out to develop. If the list is short, choose one person this week and say out loud that you intend to invest.

“There arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD or the work that he had done for Israel.”Judges 2:10, ESV

Jake

P.S. Paul gives a way to check this. Read The four-generation test.
