Daniel’s rivals wanted him gone. They went through his record looking for anything: an error, a favor, a shortcut.
The text says they “could find no ground for complaint or any fault, because he was faithful” (Dan. 6:4). The only way to trap him was to make his prayers illegal.
Daniel went home and prayed the way he always had, with the windows open. The audit found nothing because nothing differed between the public Daniel and the private one.
The idea. Integrity means whole: one person at work, at home, at church, and alone. A team will forgive a lack of skill sooner than a second face. Each gap between your rooms is a place where trust leaks.
The action for this week. Ask yourself one question: is there a room where people would be surprised by how I act in another room? Pick that one gap and close the gap a little this week.
“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.”Proverbs 10:9, ESV
